New developments in the case of The People vs. W.R.Sample...
I talked to Mr. G this morning, about the whole fiasco with Mr. B last night. Hm.... lemme say something first.
Mr. B = Mr. Bodford. The one I hate. Asst. Manager.
Mr. G = Mr. Geohegan (sp). He is called Mr. G for obvious reasons. He's the EXA (Executive Assistant. He's 2nd in command.)
Mr. Dinkel as Himself. He's alright in small doses. He's the manager of the ENTIRE store.
Mrs. Brownette as Herself. She is a little on the kookie side, but she's pretty cool. Asst. Manager.
Ms. Cook as Herself. She's the new Asst. Manager. She is definitely awesome.
So
I talked to Mr. G this morning, about the whole fiasco with Mr. B last
night. He mentioned that Mr. B is exNavy, which I knew, and that it's
moderately understandable that he's a hard ass. Mr. G is incredibly
easy going about stuff. If I come in late some morning (this is back
when I only worked one morning a week, I'd sometimes come in late
because I hadn't gotten used to the whole getting up thing), he'd have
nothing more to say than a sarcastic comment about them serving lunch
on the veranda... whatever that means. I guess it's just his
lighthearted way of saying "There's not a lot of excuses for being this
late, but I'll let it slide this time."
I read the little note
that Mr. B wrote to Mr. Dinkel and it consisted of horrible
handwriting, and bad grammar. Also, I quote "This has been an on going
problem with Nick, Greg, and Bill. Perhaps they should seek employment
elsewhere, where they can goof off on their own time." or something to
that effect on that last part. Upon conversing with Kas over the issue,
I've decided that it's time to plot a course of action. This "bullshit"
as I like to call it repeatedly has gone on for long enough. And in all
actuality, I am not the first to have a problem with Mr. B. There's
been Nick, Greg, Me, Callie, Kim, Mallory, Mary, and probably a host of
others that I don't know about. This has simply got to stop. I guess
the simplest plan of action is to talk to Mr. Dinkel about it. I
already know that I've got nick on my side, but I dunno about anybody
else. Nick managed to get the number for the district office, and so
the pieces are all in place. The way I see it, there are a number of
possible outcomes, the two most likely are me getting "let go" because
Mr. Dinkel doesn't want to deal with this kind of crap, or Mr. B
getting a nice Talkin' to. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not particularly
interested in getting him fired. I don't want "retribution", I simply
want justice to be served. I simply want to open the eyes of the blind
to see what kind of things are going on behind closed doors. So here's
a list of the ammunitions i have in stock
-Mr. B's constant condesending attitutde toward myself and others.
-Mr.
B's lack of manager-like professionalism, such as lacking the interest
to answer my perfectly legitimate questions, or providing me with a
snide and sarcastic answer.
-Mr. B's presence at the store well after an hour post-closing
I'll
have to do some investigation myself, to see just how late he stays
there. Regardless of the fact that he might be stealing from the safe
and changing the end of day numbers in the computer, he's still raking
in extra hours, as he's not paid on salary. I believe only 5 or 6
people are paid on Salary in the entire store, and they are Mr. Dinkel,
Mr. G, and however many pharmacists we have right now.
In other news...
Today
was a moderately decent day. I finished up the slack that was left last
night due to my early dismissal from work, and I picked up the slack
that greg left for me. I even managed to take care of the cigarettes
that were sitting in a cart just waiting to be wheeled out the door. No
joke, there was over 1500 dollars worth of merchandise in that cart. It
was scary. Once I felt the effects of my caffiene kick, I was rollin'.
After work, I headed home, to chill, and take a quick nap. I cleaned up
my share of the rec room from the friends we had over Friday night, and
I took care of balancing my checkbook (FINALLY!). Also, I found the
time to carve my pumpkin, in honor of the upcoming holiday. It looks
like a fence, with some errie hands resting on the top, and a sign that
says "Beware". It's pretty tight. After that, headed with Nick and Greg
to go see Saw II. And here's my take on it....
It didn't carry a
plot, but that's okay, because it still managed to carry a twist. Also,
I found it moderately entertaining, and that's what seeing a movie is
all about, right? All things considered, I give it at least a B-. Maybe
if I had seen the first one....
My new favorite word: Moderately.
I
noticed this quote covered by crap taped to the time clock. It was on
the wall behind all the aforementioned crap. "Be the change you want to
see in the world" - Mahatma Ghandi | | |
| So this dude greg wants me to start a regular journal. You know, the kind that needs a pen to work right....
I can't read half the shit I've already written.
He seems to think I censor myself in my LJ and my Xanga. We'll see...

| - 10 - The God that Failed
So I worked this morning. I hate working mornings. With the getting up
and all. I came home and went for a swim until my feet cramped up as
they tend to do, then I took a shower. Jammed out to some metallica
before greg came over. Being that I worked that morning, i dunno what
he expected. I was tired as all get out. I pretty much fell asleep on
the couch watching TV. Wendy and her friend Jessie ended up coming over
as well. We watched Event Horizon (excellent movie) and then some
Futurama. After futurama, they all left. I don't think I've watched
that much TV in AGES.
In other news, I hate my job, and my job hates me. more on that later.
Yeah. I don't got much else to talk about. Registering for new classes
is open for business. I have to get out my catalog and check off the
classes I've taken, so I know which categories in which I still need to
take classes. I'd really like to take Physics or something, but I don't
think that's gonna happen. I can take English and World Geography right
after one another easy. That'll be pie. As for Calc, and the advanced
stuff, I'll have to go somewhere else. Also, Music Appreciation,
assuming it's really music theory like I think, will be possible as an
online course. We'll see how it all plays out...

| - 5 - Getting Away with Murder
Uh oh.... You think perhaps my job is in jeopardy?
So my boss came back from vacation on..... Monday? yeah.
I have to ask him about having Thanksgiving off for like, three days.
Either that or my folks will have it in their head that they wont be
able to go to Ohio for Thanksgiving. *shrugs*
So today in Psyche, we did almost nothing. She's not a very good professor. There's not much more to say about that.
So I got a schedule for the next term, to see what classes are offered
where. I need to figure out if the South, Downtown, or Deerwood campus
is closest. That's where I will be taking my math class. With the ante
upped to 4 classes, I'll probably have to take on less hours at
work.... or start getting up in the morning. Either way....
In other news, I have less than 3 gallons in my car, and only 13
dollars to my name until Thursday - Pay Day. I only hope that they
didn't already get my direct deposit thing taken care of, otherwise I'm
gonna have no gas to get to class that night. I'm cuttin' it close this
time....

| - Perilous Journey
Today was my day off. Also, I worked about 9h45m. It was inventory day.
We had this team of like, 7 people come in, and count EVERY item in the
store. THEY were there for like, 12 hours. I cannot complain. Specially
since about 4h15m of my shift was overtime pay. It's kinda like I
worked 11h52m. Anyway. My only real job was to carry around the Telxon,
and when they found an item that didn't have a price, they screamed
"PRICE CHECK, AISLE [number]!" and I'd come hobblin' over with the
Telxon to do a price verify. Our Cashier for the night called in, her
kid is sick. I offered to stay until 10, but they brought nick in
instead. That would have been a 13 hours day, that which I would have
been paid for like it was a 17 hour day. I would have had to take an
hour or two off though, to finish reading for my psyche class tomorrow.
Today
was really 'laxed though. I enjoyed it. I guess I really do love my
job, though it gets hard at some times, it's really a great gig. Really
relaxed, everyone but the one manager is really laid back, and it's
kinda like 'do whatever the hell you wish, as long as your work gets
done.' I enjoy it. | | |
